Meet the Pastor and First Lady
Johnny and Shontia’ Branham
Johnny Branham was born and raised in Tampa Florida by parents John and Delphine Branham. Johnny is the youngest of three children. He is the father of two beautiful daughters that are very influential in his life.
Mr. Branham graduated from Leto Comprehensive High School and afterwards entered in the United States Army where he served as an Automated Logistical Specialist. Shortly after returning home from the military he made a poor life altering decision that led to his incarceration. He spent 14 and a half years in the Florida Department of Corrections where he took the opportunity to transform his life.
His testimony is that he became active in both the Faith and Character Based programs under the supervision of the Horizon program. He became a leader in the Horizon dormitory where he taught several classes and mentored other men looking to change their lives as well. He worked as a Certified Law Clerk in the Law Library.
He later enrolled in college by correspondence and earned his paralegal diploma. He has spoken before the Florida State Senate as an invited guest on behalf of the incarcerated to advocate for funding for re-entry programs. Also, while incarcerated, Johnny wrote his first book; My Evil Twin: Understanding the War Between Flesh and Spirit. Even in prison, God showed him mercy, grace, and favor. Yes, he made some crazy decisions that landed him in prison, but we all have a record when it comes to the foot of the cross!
Mr. Branham is currently enrolled in college for his bachelor’s degree in Religion with a concentration in Biblical and Theological Studies. His hobbies include writing poetry, singing, songwriting and authoring. He enjoys utilizing his gifts and talents to uplift and encourage people everywhere.
Mr. Branham is the CEO and Pastor of Hope 4 2Day Ministries (H42D) which is a non-profit spiritual work that helps men, women, the homeless population, ex-felons and their families to employ them to return to the workforce and to help them with taking care of themselves and their families.
Johnny is married to his wonderful wife and best friend Mrs. Shontia’ Branham and together they both have a total of 5 children. Lady Branham is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. She is the VP and first Lady of H42D Ministries which was started in 2018. She has been in education for over 20 years and upon moving to Florida she has worked with Hillsborough County Public Schools. She worked for the school district for 10 years and moved on to be the inaugural principal of Grant Park Christian Academy. She is now an educational consultant for Branham Educational Consulting. She will be school planting in the Tampa area and beyond. She holds her Master’s degree in Education and she loves to teach. Shontia’ and Johnny will also be teaching classes in order to help the community; parenting, technology, finance and social skills classes. The Branhams’ are catalysts against the rising recidivism and homelessness rates. They are working together with other members of the Body of Christ to build and further the Kingdom of God.
Hope 4 2Day Ministries provides hope in the form of offering resources that help people in need create stability after leaving prison/homelessness. Johnny’s insight into reentry is unique because he knows personally the pitfalls, struggles and challenges involved in transitioning back into society. His passion is for the men, women and their families who are attempting to navigate through life after prison/homelessness continues to fuel his desire for change. His mission is for his clients to not only survive after their release, but to thrive by beginning with the end in mind.
We are encouraging those individuals who have a mind and heart to build the Kingdom of God to join us in helping people by making disciples as we were commanded by Jesus;
Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
